Are Your Amazon Sellers a Benefit or a Detriment?

Confused by that question? Let me try and explain. To do that I will I want to explain an important thing to consider when you are considering a request to open a wholesale account.

There are basically two types of sellers on Amazon. The first and by far the most prevalent are what I call the parasites. To paraphrase and edit to compare business relationships, here is the definition from Wikipedia. Parasite : a non-mutual relationship between businesses where one business, the parasite, benefits at the expense of the other, the company. To be more clear, in the online world these sellers simply jump on a current listing so they don’t have to do anything other than make a couple of clicks and sit back and get paid.

The other and far more rare are what I call the symbiotic sellers. In this type of relationship, both parties benefit from working together. These sellers know the rules, understand how to make a listing stand out and get sales, and keep up with the latest options available online. If you are able to find that type of wholesale customer, you have found gold!
